Title: Financial Analyst I (Junior)

Scope: Provides analytical and technical support to Navy financial management activities.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Assist in the execution of Navy budgets by monitoring commitments, obligations, and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans.
- Enter, update, and validate financial data within Navy financial management systems and tools.
- Prepare, format, and maintain financial reports and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial and program data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues requiring escalation.
- Collect, organize, and analyze cost data to support cost estimates, cost models, and decision-making.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of financial systems, tools, and data repositories.
- Support compliance reviews, audit preparation, and corrective action tracking as required.
- Contribute to resource allocation analyses to support strategic and operational planning.
- Perform administrative, analytical, and technical duties as assigned to support the overall financial management mission.
Qualifications
At least 0-4 years of experience and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant experience may satisfy degree requirements.
