Financial Analyst

A Financial Analyst is needed for a rapidly growing organization located in Monterey. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and supporting strategic business decisions through accurate financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, basic Excel capabilities, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets.
• Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial reports and account analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and operational decision-making.
• Partner with department leaders to monitor spending, identify trends, and improve financial performance.
• Assist with ad hoc financial projects, reporting requests, and operational analyses.
• Ensure data accuracy and maintain integrity of financial reporting systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, and/or related experience.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
