Summary

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Capital Markets, Accounting, and Policy Branch, Risk Analytics and Policy Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in areas relating to capital markets function for large, complex financial institutions and community bank operations and activities.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience performing complex financial or economic analyses as part of a team to identify and evaluate sources of credit, liquidity, market and other capital markets risk in a financial institution environment, or assisting in the development of, or analysis and compliance with, regulations and interpretations that govern regulatory capital and/or capital markets activities.
