Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a very large organization in Central Arkansas, to help them find a Financial/Data Analyst. This position will be responsible for financial and data analysis, market research and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and support the preparation and delivery of recurring financial and operational reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal and external deadlines
- Collect, validate, and reconcile large datasets across multiple systems, including general ledger, sub-ledgers, and operational data sources
- Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators across balance sheet, income statement, and business unit activity
- Apply structured, rule-based logic to transform and standardize complex datasets for reporting, forecasting, and decision support
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, IT, HR, and Business Units to gather inputs, clarify data requirements, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes to support audit readiness and data governance standards
- Monitor changes in reporting requirements, business processes, or data structures and proactively update workflows and documentation
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Alteryx to enhance efficiency and data integrity
- Develop and deliver dashboards and ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making and strategic initiatives
Technical and functional requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, business analytics
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis experience in a MID TO LARGE organization
- High level of comfort with technology and systems; Workday strongly desired, crm implementation exposure also strongly desired
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must have Formulas, Pivots, and experience working with multiple workbooks and data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization
Ideal candidate profile
- Currently in a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or Accounting role (with advanced Excel and technical skills)
- Has experience in a mid to large organization
- Enjoys working with large data sets, digging into details, and building or refining processes to improve quality and efficiency
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable being a subject‑matter resource for internal and external resources
