Role Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Accounting Specialist to join our U.S. Finance team, supporting the establishment of a U.S. Bank. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility, strategic initiative in a fast-paced, build-out environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong fundamentals, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, project-oriented setting. Initially, the role will focus on supporting the bank build and program execution. Over time, it will transition into a core finance position responsible for business-as-usual (BAU) activities following the bank’s launch. During the BAU phase, this role will primarily support the development of bank-wide budget, forecast, and long-range strategic plan. The analyst will assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting, financial report construction and maintenance, segment business reviews, and external investor materials. Partner closely with the rest of the Finance team to report and inform senior management on strategic business decisions through business and profitability analytics and metrics to support bank-wide strategic decision making and to drive improved financial results. They will also support a variety of high-level financial projects, creating financial models & identifying/analyzing system improvements. Why Join Us

- Support finance workstreams related to the stand-up of the U.S. Bank, including legal entity setup, systems implementation, and process design
- Assist in developing accounting policies, procedures, and controls aligned with regulatory requirements and U.S. GAAP
- Partner cross-functionally with Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams to support project deliverables
- Contribute to project planning, timelines, and milestone tracking in a fast-moving environment
- Support data validation, testing, and documentation for new financial systems and reporting frameworks
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help design scalable finance processes
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations
- Provide FP&A support, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and decision support
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial reporting processes
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PPT, Teams, Co-pilot);
- Comfort working in a project-oriented setting with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams
- Proactive, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
Desirable:
- Experience in financial services or banking
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as; Vena Reporting, SUN Systems, IPOS, Temenos
- This position is full-time permanent, operating on a hybrid working model from our office in Stamford.
- This role offers a salary range of $75,000-95,000 per annum + bonus scheme and a comprehensive benefits package
