    Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
       1.  High school graduate or equivalent. (Required)
       2.  Preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent courses in accounting and bookkeeping   
       3.  Preferred three years' experience with pupil count and federal impact aid data submissions
       5.  Two years previous experience in secretarial or clerical field.
       6.  Demonstrate the ability to interact with staff, parents, and the public.
       7.  Pass Excel testing
    *Testing must be completed (and passed) before applicants are eligible for an interview.
    *Applicants MUST also apply to the position before scheduling testing.

    Job Goals:
    Responsible for preparation of various state and federal grant applications, reports and audit compliance related to grants.  Prepares journal entries, reconciles p-card transactions, and processes purchase orders.  Responsible for the accounting, bookkeeping, and budgeting for federal and District grant programs and Student Achievement Department.
    Responsible for ongoing support and training of budget secretaries, including internal auditing.  Assist with check requests, paying weekly bills, and bank deposits preparation.
    Essential Job Functions:
      1.  Assist with federal pupil count processes, including impact aid survey and source check preparation and reconciliation of data to student information system (SIS). Assist in year-end close.
      2.  Responsible for gathering financial data to assist with preparation of federal grant program ESSA application
      3.  Prepare various state and federal grant applications, reports, budget, budget revision reports and audit compliance to include but not limited to, Impact Aid, CTE. Perkins, Title Funds, Read Act Funds, DODEA Grants, etc..
      4.  Working knowledge of multiple accounting software applications (DocuWare, ERP Pro (Infinite Visions), Infinite Campus, MySchoolBucks (MSB), Tandem, Syncplicity, Smartsheets)
      5.  Maintain district grant accounting systems.  Monitor budgets and expenditures for state and federal grant programs (e.g., account analysis, reconciliation, expenditure/budget analyses)
      6.  Prepares journal entries, reconciles p-card transactions, and processes purchase orders.
      7.  Complete annual financial reports for CDE and monthly/quarterly federal reports as required
      8.  Responsible for ongoing support and training of budget secretaries, including internal auditing
      9.  Process check requests, bills, prepare and make bank deposits
    10.  Gather, analyze, enter, and compile data for reports and/or communications, as needed
    11.  Maintain the department website
    12.  Perform other duties as assigned

    15. Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, building and department procedures.
    16. Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
    17. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
    Salary:
    Human Resource Specialists are on the Classified Salary Schedule.
    - FFC8 allows new hires to bring in up to 8 years of previous experience in similar school type settings.
    - Please understand that new hires tend to start out at the lower end of the salary range.
