Position Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the full finance function within a multi-program, fund-based nonprofit organization. This role combines financial oversight, reporting, compliance, and audit coordination with hands-on involvement in key accounting areas.

The Finance Manager will act as the primary finance lead, overseeing the work of a Bookkeeper (AP/AR and basic records) while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial information.

Working Relationships

Reports to: Executive Director / Senior Leadership

Oversees: Bookkeeper (AP/AR and basic accounting)

Works with: Program Managers, Board / Finance Committee

External stakeholders: Auditors, funders, regulators

Salary Range: $80,000$90,000 annually

(Commensurate with experience and nonprofit sector alignment)

Important Role Note

This is a lean finance structure. While transactional accounting support is available, the Finance Manager is responsible for review, oversight, and ownership of the full finance function, including audit, reporting, and compliance.
