The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for a Finance Manager in Training (MIT) shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. The Finance Manager-in-Training (MIT) program is designed to develop exceptional leadership and management skills in a well-developed environment. Through hands-on training, departmental rotations, and mentorship, the MIT will gain comprehensive knowledge of Finance, team leadership, and both internal and external communication. This program aims to prepare candidates for a future Assistant Manager role by fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the Finance department in a luxury hotel.

BASIC PURPOSE:

To learn to prepare and analyze financial reports and maintain accounting records for the Residences and Hotel at Four Seasons Hotel & Residence New York Downtown with the assistance of the Finance Team.

What you will do

• Support daily accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cashiering functions.
• Assist with preparing and analyzing financial reports and maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile daily revenue transactions, deposits, credit card payments, and intercompany accounts.
• Help maintain and reconcile operating, reserve, and investment bank accounts.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor assessments, deposits, and delinquent accounts, and assist with collections processes.
• Participate in audits and financial reviews as required.
• Assist with annual budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
• Support residential owners and staff with account inquiries and financial-related requests.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and other finance projects.

What you bring:

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (preferred)
• Proven exceptional performance in your current role, demonstrating leadership potential.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in English,
• High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset
• Computer literacy to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use e-mail and the Internet

Schedule & hours:

• 5-day onsite work week
• Full-time position with in-person attendance required​
• Anticipated start date: October 2026

Salary Range $70,000-$75,000
