Position Description:

Reporting directly to GMA Controller, we are looking for a Finance Manager who will become a strategic, financial and operational thought partner to the management team. The selected applicant will provide comprehensive financial insight into our business, while pushing to improve efficiency and growth of both top and bottom line. The candidate will help drive forecasting and planning initiatives, enhance internal tools, ensure accounting accuracy and prepare analyses.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The primary functions of this role are to:
. Manage two or three Financial Analysts
. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and deliver well-supported and documented financial plans
. Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results compared against forecasts and budgets
. Prepare and present financial results with discerning commentary to key business unit stakeholders
. Take ownership of balance sheet integrity through reviews and sign off
. Review and maintain client backlog analysis
. Partner closely with our centralized Finance Business Services group on financial close activities
. Partner with operations on the whole financial monthly process
. Manage special requests and collaborate on in-house projects
. Train finance and operations members on financial topics

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Post-secondary education with an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA)
. 4 to 7 years of Operations Finance experience, ideally in a business partnering role
. Proven analytical skills
. A strong work ethic
. Advanced skills in MS Excel
. Experience, proficiency and comfort in communicating and working effectively at all levels, including senior management
. Managing ambiguity
. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
. A motivated self-starter who takes initiative to bring issues to resolution
. Highly organized and business process oriented
. High level of comfort in challenging assumptions by leveraging logic and critical thinking
. Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility
. Bilingualism
Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also possess the following: 
. Experience and success in mentoring others and excellent interpersonal skills
. Practical experience with Hyperion and PeopleSoft
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000$175,000. This role is an existing vacancy.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
