The Indirect Tax Senior will report to the Indirect Tax Manager/ VP of Tax and will play a critical role in managing the Company’s growing global Indirect Tax footprint. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an extremely dynamic, diverse and fast-paced environment and who is looking to grow themselves as an Indirect Tax professional.
Main responsibilities:
- Review reporting and compliance obligations for Company’s growing indirect tax (i.e., VAT, GST and other similar taxes) footprint
- Coordinate with third-party advisors and compliance teams globally to oversee compliance requirements in the jurisdictions where we operate
- Perform indirect tax research on existing and new business offerings
- Manage notice resolution process with third-party advisors
- Support Indirect Tax Manager with various remediation workstreams to address historical exposures
- Review Company’s various tax engines (Vertex, Stripe) to ensure tax is correctly applied to customer sales
- Prepare VAT account reconciliations on a quarterly basis for Indirect Tax Manager review
- Interface with internal e-payments team, finance department, and external payment processors to address data needs
- Serve as a point of contact in conjunction with the Indirect Tax Manager for indirect tax guidance on strategic business initiatives
- Support indirect tax manager/ local controllers to address local indirect tax requirements
- Coordinate/ communicate with income tax team and local finance departments for global planning and reporting
Main requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant Indirect tax experience in Big 4 and/or multi-national public company (emphasis on experience with managing compliance workflows)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Tax research skills in Checkpoint and/or BNA
- CPA and/or Master’s degree in Business Taxation is preferred
