Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership within the Canada Division.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the financial business partner to the Canada District Leadership team and field sales team.
- Reviews monthly financial results and prepares monthly analysis/summary reports to Canada Division Sr. Finance Director & Controller
- Provide leadership, development and mentoring to Analyst.
- Prepares monthly financial reporting for VP Sales, District leaders, and support team.
- Ensure best practices are in place for accurate field budgets. Works with VP Sales and District leaders to establish all Store & Sales Rep budgets.
- Make periodic visits to Stores, District offices to ensure proper accounting procedures are in place and gain full understanding of the business.
- Provide reporting to Division Management as it relates to credit and account receivable management.
- Assist in directing the Division credit/financial organization in the management of working capital including accounts receivable and inventory.
- Provide Division and District management with key reporting on pricing progress, opportunities, and pricing authority.
- Special assignments as directed by the Division Sr. Finance Director
Qualifications
FORMAL EDUCATION:
a. Required: · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
b. Preferred: · MBA and/or CPA
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Five to seven years of progressive financial/accounting experience
- Strong Sales Accounting knowledge
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred
- Previous field audit experience
- Previous financial planning and reporting experience
- Previous experience with Sales budgeting
- Previous supervisory/management experience

A. Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Must be able to write effectively, succinctly, and to capitalize on the knowledge of best business practices related to non-verbal communication.
- Meeting deadlines of monthly closings and reporting needs
- Providing strategic analysis and planning which impacts financial results of the Division.
- Willingness to embrace new technology and analytical tools
