THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious organization at an important stage of its growth and evolution.

The successful individual will be expected to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, bringing the experience, judgment and leadership required to strengthen the function while operating effectively within a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization, helping translate commercial and operational priorities into measurable results.

THE MANDATE

The individual appointed will be expected to:

• Take ownership of their functional area and establish clear priorities, standards and accountability.
• Assess the current organization, processes and capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop scalable systems and processes that support continued growth.
• Partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Improve visibility through meaningful metrics, reporting and performance management.
• Identify risks, solve problems quickly and drive issues through to resolution.
• Balance strategic priorities with the willingness to remain close to day-to-day execution.
• Develop strong internal and external relationships.
• Build credibility across the organization through sound judgment, consistency and delivery.
• Create an environment of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal profile will likely include:

• Demonstrated success within a relevant and similarly complex operating environment.
• Progressive experience with increasing levels of responsibility and ownership.
• Strong functional and technical knowledge within their area of expertise.
• Experience operating within growing, changing or transformational organizations.
• A track record of improving processes, capabilities and business performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
• The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong business judgment and an understanding of how functional decisions affect broader organizational performance.
• Relevant academic and/or professional qualifications.

Success in this role will be measured not simply by activity, but by impact.

Within the first 12–18 months, the successful individual should have established credibility across the organization, developed a strong understanding of the business, strengthened the capabilities of the function and delivered measurable improvements against the priorities agreed with leadership.
