Finance Director – Automotive Dealership
Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven, and experienced Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for leading the dealership's Finance & Insurance (F&I) operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maximizing profitability, developing the finance team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the vehicle purchase process.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Insurance team to achieve performance goals.
- Oversee daily F&I department operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor finance production, product penetration, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as lender and dealership policies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and lending partners.
- Review and approve finance transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in structuring financing options that meet customer needs and lender requirements.
- Monitor contracts to ensure timely funding and resolution of any funding issues.
- Analyze departmental performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Train team members on compliance, sales processes, and dealership policies.
- Collaborate with sales management to support dealership sales objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation for all finance transactions.
- Stay informed of changes in lending programs, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Attend management meetings and participate in dealership planning initiatives.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive automotive Finance & Insurance experience, including management responsibilities.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of automotive finance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
