Our client is seeking a Finance Director to serve as a strategic business partner and senior finance leader within a growing, multi-entity organization. This role combines financial planning and analysis, technical accounting, operational finance, and strategic decision support to help drive business growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader with experience supporting executive leadership through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, process improvements, and acquisition-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and executive financial reporting
- Partner with executive leadership to translate business strategies into financial plans, operating metrics, and actionable insights
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, profitability analysis, capital allocation, and business planning
- Support mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, integration planning, purchase accounting coordination, and synergy tracking
- Prepare executive, Board, and lender reporting packages with accurate financial analysis and recommendations
- Drive cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and overall financial performance
- Improve financial reporting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency, scalability, and transparency
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, technology, and business leaders to support organizational objectives
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as the organization continues to grow
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA a plus
- CPA certification a plus
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, transaction support, or related leadership roles
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, executive reporting, and business partnering
- Experience supporting multi-entity or high-growth organizations preferred
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integrations is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational finance
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence senior leadership while balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
