Position Overview

The Finance Director oversees day-to-day financial operations for the facility, providing leadership to the finance team and ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and effective use of resources. This role plays an important part in supporting the hospital’s financial health while aligning business office operations with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations for the hospital, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Supervise and develop finance and business office staff
• Support budgeting, reporting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Provide guidance on business office processes and best practices
• Collaborate with leadership to support strategic financial decision-making
• Maintain compliance with applicable standards, including healthcare privacy regulations
• Oversee implementation and adherence to policies and procedures across financial operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA
• Prior leadership experience managing teams in a finance or business office environment
• Experience applying organizational policies and procedures in a healthcare setting preferred
• Familiarity with Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices preferred
• Experience in staff supervision and development strongly preferred
