Job Description
Support procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services
Assist with identifying and working with suppliers across a range of materials and services
Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods
Maintain accurate procurement records in internal systems and tracking tools
Liaise professionally with suppliers and respond to basic queries
Update and maintain supplier information, including the Approved Supplier List (APSL)
Prepare and provide procurement data to support internal stakeholders
Stay aware of pricing trends and support cost-effective purchasing decisions
Assist with basic contract administration tasks
Lead or assist with supplier onboarding activities
Help resolve simple issues and support continuous improvement activities
Job Highlights
The Procurement Representative supports the sourcing and purchasing of machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging, parts, services, and other supplies needed for day-to-day operations. The role involves assisting with data analysis to support purchasing decisions, working with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability, and ensuring goods are delivered on time and meet quality requirements. You will also support the preparation of quotes and tender documentation as required.

Requirements
Basic understanding of procurement processes in a commercial environment
Awareness of procurement-related policies or legal requirements
Experience in a customer service or stakeholder-facing role
Strong computer skills, with the ability to review and interpret simple reports
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and similar systems; experience with WorkBench and/or SharePoint is a plus
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to an engineering or project-based environment
- Experience in the defence industry (highly regarded)
