Finance & Administration - Accountant

We are looking for a sharp, analytical, and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Nisku, AB. If you are an analytical thinker who loves digging into complex reconciliations, running a smooth month-end close, and driving process efficiencies, we want to hear from you! The Accountant is responsible for providing timely and accurate accounting, analysis, and financial reports.

What You’ll Do

Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting activities. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with internal controls. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances as necessary. Prepare and file sales and franchise tax returns.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. A CPA designation is highly preferred. Strong proficiency in MS Dynamics Great Plains and Solver (or QuickBooks); advanced Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables) are a must. An analytical thinker who catches the details, adapts quickly to change, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
