Caladwich Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Distribution Procurement Analyst to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution operations. The Distribution Procurement Analyst is responsible for conducting market research, procuring materials, supplies, equipment, and services that support warehouse and distribution operations while ensuring compliance with contract requirements, procurement regulations, and Government purchasing policies.

This position offers the opportunity to directly support mission-critical logistics operations by ensuring timely procurement of operational resources that enable efficient warehouse performance and uninterrupted support to the Department of Defense.

Core responsibilities

· Conduct market research and procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services required to support warehouse and distribution operations.

· Solicit quotations, evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and recommend best-value procurement solutions.

· Manage purchase requests, vendor communications, procurement documentation, and acquisition records in accordance with contract requirements.

· Track purchase orders, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services supporting operational needs.

· Maintain vendor databases, procurement files, and purchasing reports while ensuring compliance with applicable procurement policies.

· Coordinate with project leadership, warehouse personnel, and Government representatives to identify procurement requirements and resolve purchasing issues.

· Support cost control initiatives by identifying competitive sourcing opportunities and improving procurement efficiencies.

Operational Support

· Support daily warehouse operations by ensuring required materials, equipment, and services are available to meet mission requirements.

· Monitor procurement activities, delivery schedules, and supplier performance to minimize operational disruptions.

· Maintain procurement records, contract documentation, and audit-ready files supporting purchasing activities.

· Analyze purchasing trends, expenditures, and vendor performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

· Assist with inventory replenishment planning and coordination between warehouse operations and suppliers.

· Support contract reporting, procurement metrics, and administrative requirements for project leadership.

· Collaborate with Government stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams to ensure procurement activities align with contract objectives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum three (3) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, contract administration, or logistics support.

· Experience conducting market research, evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating pricing, and administering purchase orders.

· Knowledge of commercial procurement practices, supplier management, and inventory support operations.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Experience maintaining procurement records, vendor databases, and purchasing documentation.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple functional areas.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting DLA Distribution, Department of Defense logistics, or federal supply chain operations.

· Experience supporting procurement activities under federal service contracts.

· Familiarity with commercial purchasing systems, ERP systems, or automated procurement applications.

· Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM), or equivalent procurement certification.

Other Requirements:

· Must be a US Citizen

· Must be able to pass background investigations including a FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) adjudication.
