The opportunity
JAMCO Interiors is seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Strategic Finance & FP&A to serve as a trusted partner to the CFO and broader leadership team.
This highly visible role requires a finance leader who combines strong financial and accounting expertise with business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to turn strategy into action. Working closely with the CFO, the Director will translate the Finance vision and business priorities into practical plans, scalable capabilities, and measurable results.
The Director will partner across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and other functions to improve financial visibility, strengthen decision-making, and advance strategic and tactical initiatives. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building financial models, interpreting accounting results, challenging business assumptions, improving processes, and working alongside operational leaders to implement solutions.
We are looking for a nimble, flexible, and humble leader who can quickly understand an objective, evaluate alternatives, and drive execution with urgency and discipline. This individual will bring an independent perspective, constructively challenge assumptions, and earn trust through actions, follow-through, and demonstrated expertise.
This is an opportunity for a builder who is energized by solving complex problems and helping create a modern, scalable Finance organization within a dynamic aerospace engineering and manufacturing environment.
What you will do
Strategic planning and decision support
- Lead the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, long-range financial plan, and scenario analysis.
- Build integrated financial models covering revenue, margins, cash flow, working capital, headcount, capital investment, and growth.
- Evaluate strategic alternatives and clearly communicate their financial, operational, and cash implications.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support strategic and tactical initiatives, investments, commercial negotiations, organizational changes, and other evolving business priorities.
Business and operational finance
- Develop a strong understanding of JAMCO’s products, customers, contracts, programs, manufacturing processes, and cost structure.
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, program and customer profitability, manufacturing performance, and cost trends.
- Strengthen forecasting of program costs, estimates at completion, production volumes, labor and material requirements, and margins.
- Identify risks and opportunities early and partner with business leaders to develop practical actions.
- Support pricing, bids, make-versus-buy decisions, capital investments, capacity planning, and other significant business cases.
- Improve cash forecasting and working-capital management, including inventory, receivables, payables, and customer advances.
Reporting and accounting partnership
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews that explain performance, identify underlying drivers, and focus leadership on required actions.
- Develop meaningful performance measures, dashboards, and management reporting that connect financial results with operational activity.
- Improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of forecasts and management information.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure reporting is based on accurate financial results and consistent with U.S. GAAP.
- Support the Controller and accounting leadership with reporting, audits, and other priorities as needed.
Finance transformation and leadership
- Help build a scalable Finance organization with strong processes, systems, controls, data, and analytical capabilities.
- Simplify reporting and processes, eliminate activities that do not create meaningful value, and automate repetitive work.
- Explore and responsibly implement business intelligence, advanced analytics, workflow automation, and artificial intelligence.
- Translate priorities into clear workplans, milestones, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes, and drive initiatives through implementation.
- Lead through influence, build alignment, and guide teams through change across functions, locations, and cultures.
- Provide the CFO with candid, thoughtful input and act as a trusted delegate on selected initiatives and leadership matters.
- Lead and develop the FP&A team while promoting accountability, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What you bring
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
