The Opportunity
A global manufacturing organization is seeking a high-performing finance leader to join its Corporate FP&A organization in the Charlotte market. This is a highly visible role supporting senior executive leadership and partnering with finance leaders across a complex, global operating environment.
The position will play a key role in enterprise financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, business performance analysis, and consolidation across multiple business units and international markets.
We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded finance leader who has demonstrated strong career progression and is motivated by the opportunity to continue expanding their scope and influence. The ideal candidate brings experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment and is equally comfortable working in the details, leading a team, and communicating financial performance to senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead key components of the enterprise FP&A reporting and consolidation process across multiple business units and global operations.
- Own the delivery of recurring financial reporting across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly close, and long-range financial planning activities.
- Consolidate and analyze business unit results to provide leadership with clear visibility into financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop management-ready reporting and analysis, including EBITDA variance analysis, gross margin bridges, KPI reporting, and other executive-level financial insights.
- Partner closely with business unit finance leaders to improve forecast accuracy, reporting consistency, and overall financial accountability.
- Support the development of executive leadership, Board, and other high-level financial presentations and reporting.
- Collaborate with data and analytics partners to improve data quality and enhance financial reporting tools and capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline FP&A processes, reporting, templates, and recurring workflows.
- Establish consistent processes, calendars, templates, and standard work across the FP&A organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance talent while building additional capability and bench strength within the broader finance organization.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner capable of translating complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with demonstrated advancement in responsibility and scope.
- 5+ years of people leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
- Strong FP&A foundation, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and business performance management.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineered products, or another operationally complex business environment strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple business units, divisions, or operating locations within a larger organization.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present financial results, recommendations, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor high-performing finance professionals.
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
- Proven career progression and desire to continue growing into broader finance leadership responsibilities.
Additional Experience That Will Stand Out
- Exposure to Operations Finance, Commercial/Sales Finance, or other finance disciplines beyond traditional corporate FP&A.
- Experience within a global or multinational organization.
- Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion.
- Experience improving or automating financial reporting and planning processes.
- Familiarity with modern analytics and reporting environments such as Snowflake or Qlik.
- MBA and/or CPA designation.
This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated global finance organization in a role with significant visibility and exposure. The individual will work closely with senior leadership, partner across multiple business units and geographies, and have the opportunity to influence how financial performance is measured, communicated, and improved.
The organization is particularly interested in finance leaders who have built a strong foundation early in their careers and are ready for their next significant step in responsibility, leadership exposure, and long-term growth.
