Position Summary & Bio
Our client, a manufacturer of precision aerospace components is gaining attention as one of the leading-edge aviation and defense customer manufacturers. With a customer base like Boeing, Raytheon, and Anduril there is no wonder why this newly created position will attract top candidates through out the region. Currently undergoing aggressive market expansion, their growth is being fueled by aggressive infrastructure investments and key strategic acquisitions.
The company is seeking a high-caliber Director of FP&A to serve as a critical strategic partner to the executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will step into a dynamic environment that pairs a long-game cultural philosophy with a scaling technology manufacturer. This role will have a team under it and act as the primary eyes and ears for the CEO and CFO regarding future M&A integrations, financial operations, and cross-functional performance across multiple state entities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Support upcoming M&A activities, managing communication with the PE Sponsor and driving integration efforts for newly acquired entities.
- Partner directly with plant operations to analyze key manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, material usage, scrap rates, and productivity metrics.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and standardize operational KPIs across newly acquired companies to ensure unified visibility.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of forward-looking FP&A tool (Adaptive) and reporting platforms, driving the transition of legacy systems
- Drive advanced automation and reporting efficiencies by integrating AI capabilities into the company's financial planning and analysis toolset.
- Interface cross-functionally with General Managers, the COO, and sales teams to align manufacturing performance with corporate strategy.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated FP&A staff, establishing clear performance objectives and professional development paths.
- Collaborate closely with the Corporate Controller and the accounting team to facilitate the smooth consolidation of budgets by department and entities
- Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial outlooks, dashboards, and executive reporting packages directly to senior leadership and board members.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial, public, or Private Equity backed company
- Strong track record in corporate financial planning, including full ownership of complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modeling.
- Background handling operational finance
- Proven capability communicating and collaborating across multi-site leadership teams, including executive officers (CEO, CFO, COO)
