Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Little Rock, AR (In-office)
Reports To: Controller
Employment Type: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records. This role manages the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice verification, purchase order tracking, vendor communication, and payment processing. Working closely with the accounting team, this position ensures compliance with company policies and supports month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes invoices/AIA documents for payment; prints and mails accounts payable checks; maintains and tracks ACH payments.
- Verifies and tracks purchase orders.
- Performs data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Maintains accounts payable files.
- Maintains compliance for W9’s, Certificates of Insurance, and Lien Waivers.
- Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation.
- Prints and routes accounts payable reports.
- Assists with preparation of 1099s.
- Assists with monthly closings.
- Assists with related special projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree from accredited college, and related accounting experience.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Proficient in Sage Intacct Construction and Procore preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
