Job Description

Procurement is a critical enterprise lever supporting production continuity, cost competitiveness, risk management, ESG commitments, and community engagement across operations and capital projects.
What You'll Do:
- Own and execute the corporate procurement and category strategy across operations and projects.
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract governance for major spend categories including mobile equipment, consumables, energy, services, and capital project packages.
- Align procurement plans with production requirements, demand forecasts, and functional business plans.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and TCO improvements across all global spend categories.
- Establish and enforce procurement governance frameworks ensuring fairness, transparency, auditability, and ESG compliance.
- Lead negotiations for high-value OEM, contractor, and framework agreements; oversee SLAs and alliance models.
- Manage supplier performance across safety, quality, delivery, and commercial compliance.
- Ensure continuity of supply for critical items and mitigate supply and market risks.
- Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, Finance, HSE, and Supply Chain/Logistics teams.
- Support procurement for major capital projects (expansions, upgrades, plant builds) as required.
What You'll Bring:
- 15+ years senior procurement experience in mining, metals, heavy industry, or other capital-intensive environments.
- Proven leadership of corporate or global procurement teams in multi-asset, decentralized organizations.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category mgmt., and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong working knowledge of mining supply categories including HME, fixed plant, fuel, explosives, engineering services, and site services.
- Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale cost savings, contract compliance, and supplier performance improvements.
- Hands-on experience implementing and governing procurement systems (ERP, P2P, contract mgmt.).
- Credibility with senior ops, project, and technical stakeholders from boardroom to site.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and scale geographically dispersed teams.
- Professional procurement certification (CPP/CPSM) advantageous; mining industry credentials a plus.
