We are hiring for an Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk in our Chicago location.
SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering financial and vendor-related data into NAV systems and maintaining organized records of all Accounts Payable (AP) documents. This role ensures that AP files are complete, properly stored, and easily accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Enter vendor purchase orders into NAV system accurately and in a timely manner
- Distribute AP Invoices to appropriate departments and locations
- Maintain and organize all Accounts Payable documents, both physical and digital
- Verify invoice details for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts as required
- File and retrieve AP records when needed for audits or internal review
- Assist in resolving discrepancies with vendors or internal departments
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and recordkeeping standards
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- Experience in data entry or administrative support
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Good organizational and filing skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information

WORK ENVIRONMENT: .
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 25lbs.
