This role is responsible for accurate, timely data entry and reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with accounting/bookkeeping software and is comfortable cross-referencing data from multiple sources to catch discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and code vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system
- Process invoices, payments, and customer billing entries
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable against bank and GL records
- Identify and flag miscoded entries, payment discrepancies, and vendor misassignment errors
- Match invoices to purchase orders and job/work order records
- Track and process vendor payments according to company procedures
- Maintain organized, audit-ready digital records of AP/AR documentation
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
