About the Job:
seeking an experienced Credit Manager to oversee our credit and collections operations. Under the direction of the President, this position will evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish credit terms, manage collection of past-due accounts, and ensure timely payment while supporting our sales growth. This role is critical to balancing risk management with strong customer relationships.

Essential Functions

  1. Evaluate and approve credit applications; set appropriate credit limits and terms
  2. Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage collection of past-due accounts
  3. Oversee issuance of preliminary notices and mechanics liens in accordance with the California laws.
  4. Develop and enforce credit policies
  5. Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies
  6. Prepare reports as necessary
  7. Manage and train staff

Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of credit management experience in manufacturing or construction industry
  2. Knowledge of California preliminary notice and mechanics lien laws
  3. Strong mathematical, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
  4. Knowledge of the EDI process with mass resellers such as Home Depot and large-scale B2B accounts
  5. Experience with ERP systems and AR reporting tools
  6. Bachelor's Degree required
  7. Proven ability to balance risk management with customer service
