Job Description:

The Securities Valuation Office (SVO) of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst II. This team member will have well-developed, credit and analytical expertise in the field of assignment and preform credit analysis in assigned area. Functions of this role include rating and analyzing a high-volume portfolio of debt securities for inclusion in the NAIC Securities database. They will actively contribute to various SVO initiatives and projects on a regular basis.  This team member works independently and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and maintain collegial relations with his peers, and other internal and external customers.   

This is a full-time hybrid position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the New York, NY office is . 

Responsibilities Include 

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required 

Master's degree (M.A.), M.B.A. in Finance or equivalent and/or CFA.  Related experience of 5 to 10 years with at least 5+ years of fundamental credit analysis, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Preferred Experience 

Experience performing credit analysis at a Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization (NRSRO or “credit rating agency”). 

Systems & Technology Requirements 

Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), Microsoft Windows, Bloomberg and similar software.  Advanced programming capabilities with these tools is a plus. 

Compensation

$128,237 up to $195,000, commensurate with education and experience.
