Who are you?
You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and ready to put your finance or accounting knowledge to work. At C&N, we’re seeking a Credit Analyst I to support our commercial lending and Credit Administration teams by analyzing financial information and helping inform sound lending decisions.
In this role, you’ll review financial statements, research borrowers and industries, prepare credit approval documents, complete annual reviews, and develop an understanding of commercial credit risk. You will be responsible for:
- Financial Analysis: Spread, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting information for existing and prospective commercial borrowers while ensuring requests are completed accurately and timely.
- Credit Analysis & Approval: Prepare credit approval documents for new, renewed, and extended loans by analyzing financial information and clearly presenting the strengths, weaknesses, and other relevant considerations of each credit request.
- Credit Research: Research available credit and financial information, including credit reports, industry trends, Risk Management Association resources, and other sources to support the underwriting process.
- Portfolio Review & Risk: Prepare annual reviews of borrowing relationships and develop an understanding of C&N’s risk-rating system while providing input on assigned risk ratings and potential changes.
- Credit Administration Support: Assist with Credit Administration reporting, including the Bank’s quarterly watch list process, while collaborating with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and other partners throughout the credit process.
Requirements:
Education & Experience – You will need a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field AND less than a year of previous related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
