About the Role
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time Credit Analyst for our Grove Creek Service Center.
Role: Responsible for providing credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, covenant administration, borrowing base monitoring, and credit administration support for commercial lending activities. Assists Portfolio Managers with ongoing portfolio management, credit review, and special projects while helping identify and monitor credit risk within the loan portfolio.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spread and analyze borrower financial statements, tax returns, and related financial information.
- Monitor borrowing base certificates and asset-based lending reporting to ensure collateral eligibility, advance rate compliance, and adherence to lending formulas.
- Conduct loan documentation reviews to ensure consistency and enforceability based on approved loan terms.
- Assist in the completion of credit memos for new and existing loans.
- Assist with ALRs, ADC reviews, PLRs, and portfolio monitoring activities.
- Complete file reviews and audit loan documents with the approved credit memo.
- Respond to internal and external requests in a timely and professional manner consistent with established service standards.
- Identify, document, and escalate emerging credit risks, covenant violations, collateral deficiencies, and financial reporting exceptions.
- Assist with projects that will consist primarily of credit administration issues and may relate to possible changes in policies and procedure, possible changes as a result of examiner or auditor recommendations, peer group analysis, market studies, changes in compliance and regulations, software upgrades, monitoring of industry or borrower concentrations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for efficiency gains such as out-sourcing, in-sourcing, centralization of duties/staff, etc.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner’s responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One or more years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. A High School diploma is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, exceptions, inaccuracies, and potential risk indicators within financial statements, loan documentation, covenant reporting, and portfolio records.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete credit files, documentation, financial spreads, and covenant tracking records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize trends, identify exceptions, and escalate potential concerns appropriately.
- Knowledge of commercial lending concepts and loan documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations, and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, education, and/or advising others on matters of significance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Average local travel will be bi-weekly or monthly meeting. Occasional out of town travel will be determined for training.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
