JOB SUMMARY

The Cost Controller is responsible for supporting financial performance, cost management, and project controls functions across telecommunications projects, including base plant radio installations across light vehicles and heavy equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining alignment between project schedules, procurement activities, and financial reporting requirements.

Working closely with the Sr. Project Manager, project leads, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Finance, the Cost Controller develops and maintains project cost structures, monitors actual performance against budgets and forecasts, conducts variance analysis, and provides timely reporting and insights to support decision-making.

In addition to cost management, this role supports project scheduling activities, progress tracking, forecasting, invoicing coordination, and month-end reporting processes. By maintaining robust project control systems and integrating cost, schedule, and procurement data, the Cost Controller enables accurate project visibility and supports successful project execution.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

The Cost Controller primarily works in an office environment and collaborates closely with project teams, Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and field personnel. This role requires regular computer use to analyze project costs, maintain schedules, prepare reports, and support project control activities.

Occasional travel to project sites may be required to review project progress, validate cost information, support schedule updates, and align reporting activities with field operations. Site visits may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, active work zones, and operational environments.

The position requires the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Compliance with all company and client safety requirements is mandatory when attending project locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and viewing digital screens. Occasional site visits may involve standing, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and navigating active work areas. The employee may occasionally transport laptops, project documents, or other light work materials required to support project activities.
