Job Responsibility
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and compliance preparation skill of partnership, C-corporation, not-for-profit; Familiar with One Source a plus.
Assist with the preparation of Federal and State estimated taxes, sales & use taxes, and excise tax.
Assist with the preparation of the tax provisions for Northwell Health Inc. and affiliates.
Assist on gathering requests for information for the IRS, and applicable state and local tax authorities, and communicate as requested.
Conduct tax research using RIA and any applicable tax-related software programs
Develop and maintain solid relationships with affiliated/Corp finance team members at all times.
With general guidance, responsible for working on assignments of limited to moderate complexity
Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions/approaches
Understands department, division, corporate strategy and operating objectives, including impacts
Decisions may be guided by precedent, previous experience, and known professional guidelines and compliance requirements. Often required to interpret policies, standards, requirements, and approaches to meet work objectives
May be assigned to an ongoing or short-term process
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments

Job Qualification
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
Advanced Tax degrees are preferred
Minimum 1-3 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm
Working knowledge of corporate, partnership compliance, analysis
