Corporate Senior Accountant

Job Description

Our client is hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant in Atlanta, GA. Our client owns, operates, and develops purpose-built single-family rental communities across the Southeast, offering residents the space of homeownership with the flexibility of renting. This role owns day-to-day corporate accounting and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The Senior Corporate Accountant will also help build and automate processes and controls as the company continues to scale. It's a strong fit for a detail-oriented accountant who wants real estate exposure and a direct hand in shaping how the finance function runs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures, including journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, variance analysis, and corporate consolidation
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and analyze GAAP financial statements and ensure accuracy and timeliness of management, investor, and ad-hoc reporting
• Recalculate interest expense on debt, monitor timely payments, and prepare debt compliance reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA and Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• 3-5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including full-cycle close
• Real estate accounting experience, preferably residential, a strong plus; Yardi experience a plus
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills with excellent analytical and communication abilities
