Position Summary:
This is a full-time position, reporting to the CFO, and will also work closely with the leadership team. This role will support all financial operations including accounting, finance, FP&A, and M&A. This role partners with the CFO in establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Leads the process of analyzing reporting variances, maintaining general ledger and related systems for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
Develops management reports, coordinates, and monitors financial budgets, and ensures financial reporting is completed by generally accepted accounting principles. Manages and participates in the preparation of budgets, organizational planning, and the forecasting process. Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and oversees the coordination of activities with external auditors. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and leadership skills.
Qualifications
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Offer necessary training and assistance to reinforce the organization’s accounting infrastructure.
- Management of financial statements and accounting records, including:
- Execution of month-end closing procedures
- Monthly accounting reconciliations
- Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and management reports
- Review filings for sales and use tax
- Performs reconciliations of bank statements and corporate credit cards
- Analyzes, investigates, and corrects accounting entries as needed using knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Management of annual financial planning and monthly forecasting processes.
- Coordinates audit processes and ensures efficient and timely execution.
- Addresses audit findings and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Partners with department leaders on a variety of analytical projects to grow the business.
- Present financial reports to leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results.
- Updates files on fixed assets, including acquisitions, and disposal, and performs annual inventory. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central) experience required.
- 7+ years of applicable experience
- CPA preferred.
- Knowledge and application of GAAP
