- Set the strategic direction of the global accounting function to be aligned with the Company’s overall strategic goals; define and implement departmental goals, KPIs, policies and operating procedures, etc.
- Provide accurate and timely consolidated financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis; ensure appropriate accounting treatment for all unusual / material transactions.
- Establish, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies & procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial and compliance with U.S. GAAP & other local statutory requirements.
- Lead the annual year-end audit process with the external auditors which should result in no material adjustments and an unqualifies opinion. Actively manage the relationship with the external auditors in a way that optimizes its value to the company.
- Work with Treasury to establish and maintain efficient A/P cash payment & A/R cash application processes; coordinate activities to ensure compliance with new credit agreement terms & conditions.
- Provide overall direction to our in-house Tax Manager and outsourcing provider on all tax matters including annual tax accounting (provisions) activities, global tax filings, transfer pricing, statutory tax requirements, etc.
- Support future M&A activities focusing on finance areas including due diligence, valuation and integration activities.
- Develop processes and business partner relationships with internal and external groups that will improve the flow of financial information within the Company.
- Monitor the operating results and budgets and make recommendations regarding cost reductions and profit improvements.
- Recruit, develop and coach a talented team of accounting and finance professionals. Monitor performance and provide continuous feedback to staff and develop career paths to retain staff members.
- Ad hoc support to SK team, executive team and other senior finance staff for financial modeling and analysis.

- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or other financial discipline; CPA certification required.
- 10+ years of professional and progressively larger controllership responsibility in a multinational corporation, Big 4 public accounting firm or a combination of both
- Prior manufacturing industry experience required; material product manufacturing such as Chemicals, Plastics, Rubber a plus.
- Strong knowledge of US-GAAP and experience with establishing internal controls and policies & procedures required
- Preferred experience in SAP or similar ERP system required
- Experience / strong knowledge of product and cost accounting desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a key success factor --- must be able to build relationships with internal clients and business unit leadership
- Exposure to tax and treasury functions
- Experience in a private equity environment is a plus
