As the Controller, you will play a key leadership role within the organization, overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining financial controls, supporting audits, and guiding the accounting team to uphold the highest standards of accountability and efficiency.

As a Controller with Autobahn Fort Worth, you will be responsible for:

• Managing daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
• Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Overseeing general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Coordinating audits and facilitating communication with external auditors
• Mentoring and developing accounting team members to meet departmental goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in a dealership or similar industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
• Willing to submit and pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
