We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join our growing organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing corporate accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the organization's continued growth. The successful candidate will lead a team of seven accounting professionals located both domestically and offshore while partnering closely with finance and operational leaders across the business. This role can be based in either Louisville, Kentucky or Carrollton, Texas.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated accounting leader with experience managing complex accounting environments and driving process improvements within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of seven accounting professionals, including both U.S.-based and offshore team members.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage corporate accounting activities including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Review and enhance accounting processes, controls, and procedures to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Partner with finance leadership to support financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to support organizational objectives and business growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership and people management experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in complex, multi-entity organizations.
- Global accounting experience supporting international operations.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, including offshore resources.
- Background in process improvement, automation, and strengthening accounting controls.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or rapidly growing organizations.
