Position Overview
The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, strengthening internal controls, and driving continuous process improvements. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader with both public accounting and industry experience who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Drive accounting process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate external audits and work with outside auditors
- Improve accounting systems, workflows, and operational efficiencies
- Support strategic finance initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience combined with private industry experience highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading accounting teams and improving financial processes
- Experience in multi-location or multi-site organizations is highly preferred
- Backgrounds in retail, manufacturing, distribution, staffing, consumer services, or similar industries are a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Desire to grow with a stable, expanding organization
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $125,000–$135,000
