Collaborate with internal stakeholders for the development of Economic Development related business strategies for major capital projects. Responsible for ensuring alignment and communication on the department’s financial goals, business plans and key strategic initiatives, while ensuring compliance with all accounting and company policies/procedures. Manage the company’s tax incentive portfolio to monetize the future tax benefits for the enterprise. Lead the New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) development program. Evaluate and execute transactions by pursuing and securing incentives, including statutory and negotiated for the portfolio. Responsibilities
- Identify and secure financial offsets in support of company capital investment strategy
- Review various financial analyses outlining the economic impacts for projects and value proposition for each project and collaborate with department and division executives
- Present projects and attend State and Local City council meetings
- Maintain control for capital projects and financial offsets
- Evaluate and implement federal, state and local Tax Incentive techniques to ensure financial decision making for the company
- Manage Economic Development technology solutions while continuing to identify and support enhancements
- Manage NMTC portfolio transactions that have been completed and new projects closed monthly
- Underwrite and evaluate NMTC opportunities for internal and external projects including sourcing Federal Tax credit allocation and closing project deals
- Facilitate close communication with Regional Real Estate Directors, Corporate Logistics, Manufacturing, and local divisions to identify projected and upcoming projects to secure federal/state and local financial offsets resulting in project approval
- Manage multiple department workstreams for data collection /retention required for Federal, State and Local compliance reporting
- Manage the company’s comprehensive tax incentive portfolio, including the development of automation strategies, to streamline the data collection and retention process

Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, real estate or business
- 10+ years of experience in finance, tax incentives, public accounting, real estate, law or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as after-tax discounted cash flows, internal rate of return
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, including presenting to senior level executives
- Strong attention to detail
Desired
- Master's Degree or law degree,
- Any experience with Economic Development negotiation and compliance tax credits and incentives within the public or private sector
- CPA Certified Public Accountant
