The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and project-based accounting experience, leadership capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment supporting multiple business segments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Controls
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and oversee financial statements, management reporting, and financial analysis
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial compliance
- Support external audits, tax coordination, and financial reporting requirements
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across business operations
- Monitor job costing processes across fabrication and utility operations
- Analyze labor, material, overhead, and production variances
- Manage WIP reporting and revenue recognition processes
- Support project margin analysis and operational financial performance tracking
- Partner with operations leadership to improve cost visibility and reporting accuracy
- Oversee inventory reconciliation, cycle count programs, and inventory reserve analysis
- Partner with Supply Chain and Material Control teams to improve inventory accuracy and controls
- Drive process improvements related to inventory tracking, material usage, and ERP reporting
- Support AR/AP tracking and working capital initiatives
- Support cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial reporting
- Monitor billing, collections, and project cash conversion metrics
- Assist leadership with financial planning and operational decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, EPC, or construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory accounting required
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills required
- Experience with Power BI, QuickBooks, or manufacturing ERP systems preferred
- CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growth environment
- Comfortable partnering closely with operations and executive leadership
- Hands-on mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements
