Controller

Shamrock Roofing is an established roofing and construction company servicing the metro-Kansas City area since 1977. In the last few years, our business has exploded in the Midwest and now servicing areas in Arkansas, Des Moines, Lincoln, Omaha, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Denver and St. Louis.

We are now looking to fill a Controller position for our Accounting Department. This person will lead the accounting department as a whole, handling both the day to day accounting and financial planning/strategy of Shamrock Roofing and Construction.

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duties May Include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing financial statements and reports.
• Overseeing financial reporting and compliance. 
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Managing the financial close process.
• Supervising accounting staff.
• Developing and implementing accounting/financial policies and procedures.
• Managing cash flow, investments, and capital expenditures. 
• Advising the CEO and Senior Management on financial matters. 
• Managing relationships with investors and other stakeholders
• All other duties assigned by the CEO and Senior Management

Compensation & Benefits:

• Full-Time In Office Position
• Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm + an hour for lunch
• Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance after 30 days of employment
• PTO accrual after 30 Days of employment
• 401K after 6 months of employment
• Compensation Range: $100k - $115k based on experience

• 5 - 8 years of experience minimum in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field. CPA or other certs a plus! 
• QuickBooks Online experience a must
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of buying and selling assets (mainly vehicles)
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
• Good history of financial project management
• Must be persistent and have a “won't take no for an answer” attitude 
• Must be a problem solver; capable of figuring things out and finding new avenues to approach issues to achieve the desired outcome
• Quick thinking and adaptability
• A positive “can-do” attitude
• Great with hard deadlines
• Must pass a full background check
• Must complete a financial/accounting skills assessment.
