The Opportunity<\/b>
<\/p>

A Controller is being sought to oversee financial operations within the Aggregates division. This is a key leadership role suited for a finance professional who thrives in a multi -site, operationally driven environment.
<\/p>

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this individual will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, providing insights to support strategic decision -making, and ensuring strong financial controls across the division. The role combines technical accounting expertise with business partnership, supporting operational leaders across multiple locations.
<\/p>

This position offers location flexibility within Ontario, along with periodic travel to operating sites. This is an active hiring need driven by ongoing business growth.

Key Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>

•  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements and cost reports.
  <\/span><\/li>
•  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide insights to senior leadership.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Oversee general ledger and sub -ledger integrity, ensuring accuracy of financial data.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Develop and deliver regular financial reporting packages to support decision -making.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Support year -end activities, including audit preparation and working papers.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including tax filings and reporting.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
  <\/span><\/li>
•  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee ERP data accuracy and financial system outputs.
  <\/span><\/li>
• Partner with operational and senior leadership teams in financial review meetings.
  <\/span><\/li>
•  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  <\/span><\/li>
•  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Support continuous improvement initiatives across financial operations.

  Qualifications & Experience<\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Post -secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • 7 -10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • CPA designation (asset).<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  •  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience operating in a multi -entity or multi -location environment.
    <\/span><\/li>
  •  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle experience considered an asset).
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including data analysis and reporting tools.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Proven experience managing and developing direct reports.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Exposure to construction, aggregates, or project -based accounting environments is an asset.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
    <\/span><\/li>
  •  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Valid Ontario driver’s license with ability to travel to various sites as needed.

    Compensation Transparency<\/b>
    <\/p>

    The expected compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional components of the total rewards package will be discussed during the hiring process.
