Established home care agency operating in New York is seeking a Controller to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. This is a key hire for a growing organization looking to strengthen its in-house finance function and support continued expansion.

The ideal candidate will come from a healthcare setting, preferably home care, with prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller. Candidates should have a strong understanding of healthcare billing cycles, financial reporting, cash flow management, payroll review, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and reporting
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
• Review payroll and reimbursement rates
• Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement
• Work closely with leadership on financial strategy and operational planning
• Analyze reports and help create actionable financial plans
• Support billing and revenue cycle oversight
• Participate in management meetings and collaborate cross-functionally

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller within a healthcare organization
• Home care industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement cycles
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and external stakeholders
• Hands-on, team-oriented mentality
