What You’ll Do:
- Continuously assess organizational operations to ensure: High quality and accuracy of financial information obtained and processed, appropriate staffing levels and effective organizational structure, ongoing review and management of accounts receivable, understanding of, and compliance with, current accounting pronouncements and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the organization and related facilities, including: Maintaining and updating budget software, performing variance analysis and explaining major fluctuations, training and partnering with department heads throughout the budgeting process, reviewing monthly financial performance with leadership as needed
- Ensure appropriate audit and accounting procedures are followed in accordance with internal policies and external requirements
- Prepare cash flow projections and provide due diligence support for new ventures, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the Finance Committee, Operations, senior and executive leadership, the Board of Trustees, Board Committees, and other key stakeholders
- Perform analytical review of account balances, activity, and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and to identify trends and variances, including coordination with revenue cycle teams
- Manage and maintain accounting systems, processes, and reconciliations related to: Fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable and receivable, and other supporting financial systems
- Actively support and participate in the annual financial statement audit and the preparation of statutory reporting, including tax returns and Form 990
- Ensure proper accounting and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and Caron policies and procedures
- Provide financial expertise and support for special projects, including: Pro forma analyses for new services, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities, major purchases, financing and lease transactions, and other projects as assigned
- Develop, enhance, and document financial and accounting processes, procedures, and policies
- Serve as a financial resource to executive leadership, department management, and staff to support program effectiveness, operational performance, and Caron’s strategic plan
- Ensure departmental cross‑training, process documentation, and knowledge transfer to support continuity and backup coverage

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or fund accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience required
