Banyan Search is partnering with a well-established, growth-oriented company to find a Controller who brings both the technical depth and leadership presence to make a meaningful impact. This isn't a back-office numbers role, it's a strategic seat with direct influence over how the business grows and operates globally.

About the opportunity

You'll serve as a trusted financial partner to senior leadership, owning the full accounting function while bringing forward-looking insights that shape strategy. That means leading the monthly close, driving consolidated financial reporting across a multi-entity, multi-currency global footprint, and ensuring compliance across GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements. You'll build and maintain a strong internal controls environment, coordinate audits, and adapt accounting practices as the business evolves.

On the planning side, you'll support budgeting and forecasting cycles, surface recommendations that move the needle on profitability, and lead process improvements across billing, receivables, and payables. At the same time, you'll lead and develop an accounting team, setting clear goals, mentoring talent, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders with data-driven communication that earns trust at every level.

What you'll do

• Own the full accounting function, general ledger, billing, close processes, and consolidated financial reporting

• Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership with forward-looking insights, modeling, and recommendations

• Ensure compliance across GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory and tax requirements globally and locally

• Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment, including governance frameworks and audit coordination

• Lead multi-entity, multi-currency international accounting operations

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles with rigor and an actionable perspective

• Identify and drive process improvements across reporting, billing, receivables, and payables

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and investing in their growth

• Influence cross-functional stakeholders with clear, data-driven communication at every level of the organization

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred, Master's a plus

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 4+ years in a demonstrated leadership capacity

• Proven experience in an international environment — managing multi-entity, multi-currency operations

• Deep expertise in GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS

• Strong systems proficiency with ERP platforms

• Experience navigating or leading ERP implementations

• The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling insights for any audience

• A strategic mindset paired with the operational discipline to execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment
