JOB TITLE: ContractingFinance Director

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales and Finance

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY

Ensures profitability and customer satisfaction in this profit center by hiring, training, and supervising finance managers, and placing automotive transactions with in-direct lenders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITERIS

Directly supervises three employees in the finance department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate and four years related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.   Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors, customers, and employees.   Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.   Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, and percentages.   Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.   Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITLY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.   Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  Ability to apply principles logistical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

License to sell credit life insurance in the state of Texas.
