Our client is Chattanooga is seeking a strong contractor for a long-term project role related to a systems implementation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and comfortable balancing day-to-day accounting operations with project-based work. This role will report to the controller and will be onsite in Chattanooga, TN:
Contract Length
- Temporary project role (12–18 months). Role will be benefits eligible.
- Lead accounting support for Lease system conversion
- Partner with the Controller to support the planning, execution, and rollout of a new leasing system (e.g., ERP, GL, or accounting platform)
- Assist with system configuration, chart of accounts design, and mapping of legacy data to the new system
- Ensure key accounting reports between the old and new systems are documented, validated, and reviewed regularly
- Lead or support data validation, testing cycles (UAT), and reconciliation between old and new systems
- Document accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls within the new system environment
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities enabled by the new system
- Serve as a subject matter expert for accounting-related system functionality post-implementation
- Act as a bridge between accounting, IT, and data teams
- Help translate financial data into requirements for technical teams
- Support data migration and integration

- Understanding data sources, logic, and reporting changes
- Ideal candidate will have a mix of accounting and systems/analyst experience
