Job Description Summary
Consultant, Indirect Tax (Atlanta, GA – Hybrid)
This is a corporate, individual‑contributor role at the Consultant level responsible for the hands‑on execution of U.S. and Canadian indirect tax compliance activities, including Sales & Use Tax, VAT/GST, and related indirect taxes. The role is part of The Coca‑Cola Company Finance Hub within the Global Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (ITX COE) and supports accurate, timely, and compliant indirect tax outcomes across North America. This position requires prior indirect tax experience and is based in Atlanta, GA on a hybrid schedule (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote) . Relocation assistance is not provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute indirect tax compliance activities for assigned U.S. and Canadian entities.
- Prepare, review, submit, and reconcile indirect tax returns (e.g., U.S. Sales & Use Tax, GST/HST, QST, PST).
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and indirect tax accounting follow‑ups.
- Analyze transaction‑level data to ensure correct indirect tax treatment and resolve discrepancies.
- Support indirect tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and business partners on indirect tax matters.
- Identify indirect tax risks and support mitigation activities.
- Support process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Coordinate with external service providers supporting indirect tax compliance.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and support training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of direct indirect tax experience (U.S. and/or Canadian).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
- Proven experience with Sales & Use Tax and/or VAT/GST.
- Experience in a multinational corporate tax environment or public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and tax engines (e.g., Vertex).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Location Requirement
Atlanta, GA – Hybrid (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote weekly)

Skills
Pay Range: $87,000 - $102,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage: 7.5
Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
