Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
This is a remote contract opportunity supporting a business control function within a major financial services organization. The role offers exposure to compliance monitoring, internal process reviews, audit support, and regulatory change tracking within a highly regulated operational environment.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Review internal procedures and operational workflows to identify potential compliance gaps, control weaknesses, and process risks.
- Conduct compliance reviews and audit-related activities, documenting findings clearly and accurately.
- Monitor regulatory updates and assist with updates to internal policies, procedures, and control documentation.
- Support investigations into compliance concerns and help recommend practical corrective actions.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to promote adherence to internal standards, legal requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Assist with compliance-related training and awareness efforts for internal teams.
Are you a proven compliance and risk review professional ready to make an impact?
- 5–7 years of relevant compliance, risk assessment, audit, controls, or regulatory operations experience.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience conducting internal reviews, audits, compliance testing, or process assessments.
- Ability to analyze policies, procedures, controls, and operational practices to identify risk areas.
- Strong documentation, reporting, research, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive or confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance management or audit tracking tools.
- Experience with frameworks or regulations such as SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar control/regulatory standards is helpful.
