Company Accountant – Construction – Longford

Permanent position

Join a well-established Midlands-based contractor who are currently seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join their team. With decades of experience delivering projects across healthcare, education, residential and private developments, this company offers a supportive and positive working environment where your contribution will be valued.

This is a key position within the business, taking responsibility for the company’s finance function while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the office.

Your role will involve:

• Managing the company’s day-to-day accounts and financial operations
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Overseeing invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
• Processing payroll and liaising with Revenue (ROS)
• Working with Sage accounts packages and maintaining accurate financial records
• Monitoring cashflow and assisting with budgeting processes
• Managing company administration including fleet, insurance and office-related matters
• Supporting the Director and wider team with financial and operational matters

What you will need:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
• Strong experience with accounts systems and financial reporting
• Payroll experience and familiarity with ROS
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
