EMR is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to support our Non-Ferrous Metals business by providing financial insight that drives commercial performance and operational decision-making. This is not a traditional Accounting Manager position. While a strong accounting foundation is essential, success in this role comes from partnering with commercial, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to understand the business, improve profitability, and provide financial insight that influences strategic decisions. The pay for this position is $110 – 120k/yr. This role will be worked 100% onsite in Camden, NJ. There is no opportunity to go remote or hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with commercial, procurement, operations, and logistics teams to support profitable business decisions. Analyze financial and operational performance across non-ferrous metals purchasing, inventory movement, freight, storage, and logistics. Interpret commercial contracts and ensure pricing, financial terms, and commercial agreements are accurately reflected within financial reporting and processes. Monitor margins, purchasing costs, recoveries, and operational performance while identifying opportunities to improve business results. Develop financial models that support purchasing strategies, contract evaluation, pricing decisions, and commercial planning. Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning for purchasing and operational activities. Build dashboards, reports, and business intelligence tools using Power BI and other reporting platforms. Improve reporting, data quality, and financial processes through automation, technology, and AI-enabled analytical tools. Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accruals while maintaining strong financial controls. Present financial insights and recommendations to commercial and operational leadership. Collaborate with finance and business partners across North America and international operations. Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and business performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Progressive experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Operations Finance, or Accounting. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Ability to communicate financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
